Winter Rentals

December - March

America discovered Whitefish, Montana in 2020. People left quarantine and flocked to the recreational capital of the Northern Rockies. The scenic downtown was the headquarters of their visits as they swam, boated and hiked in nearby Glacier National Park. And now, as the seasons change, they will find out why SKI Magazine named Whitefish Mountain Resort at Big Mountain as the “No. 3 Overall Ski Resort in North America.” Locals have long coveted Big Mountain for its rugged terrain, powdered glades of trees and lack of lift lines. The resort averages 300 inches of snow each year and is starting its 73rd season. More and more people are finding out about Big Mountain, but an even better secret is combining your skiing with a stay at Dancing Spirit Ranch, Montana’s most unique guest ranch. You can leave the ranch and be parking at the mountain in less than 25 minutes. The best part of the day is when you head back to the ranch. Relaxing by a fire or snowshoeing out to enjoy the alpenglow on the Swan Range are just a few of the ranch activities that await. You really can have it all when you stay at Dancing Spirit Ranch.

Skipping the slopes? Stay back at the ranch to snowshoe around the grounds or hit the cross-country trails. You’ll have the place essentially to yourself to relax and “hygge up.” Read a book in bed and sip on our unlimited supply of organic teas and coffees. Even better – upgrade your stay with a massage to help soothe your sore and tired muscles! Our staff will help you curate the perfect Montana winter stay.

Depending upon your group size, we have two buildings that we are renting out nightly for your winter vacation.

The Little White House

This charming one-bedroom cottage is a lovely getaway for 1-2 travelers. It has a queen size bedroom, living space, full bathroom, kitchenette, and a patio looking into the mountains.

The Cedar House

This beautiful 4-bedroom house is the perfect winter getaway. It has a king size bedroom with a private bath, a queen room with a private bath, a set of twins with a shared bath, and a queen room with a shared bath. There is a full kitchen, living space with a wood burning fire place, and a grill.

  • Entire House Starting Rate: $450 + tax

  • House can accommodate up to 8 guests

  • (2) night minimum stay

Details

  • Guests will have access to our entire grounds during their stay. There are over 5-miles of trails to explore that lead you to gardens, standing stone sites, and more. Feel free to borrow a pair of snowshoes to go out and discover some winter treasures. Weather permitting, our bonfire pit is available for use.

  • For an additional fee, you can hire our chefs for private catering, such as breakfast, and meals will be available in your cabin or our barn.

  • For an additional fee, we are happy to arrange yoga, sound healings, massage, and more.

  • Please note that there is no daily maid service.
