Embodiment Retreat

  • Dancing Spirit Ranch 1600 Conn Road Columbia Falls, MT, 59912 United States (map)

Wednesdsay, July 31 - Saturday, August 4 2024

Glacier National Park is the backdrop to our bountiful and beautiful abode for this Montana Body + Breath + Soul Embodied Retreat  facilitated by

Megan Dunne-Krouse, Wini Nimrod, and Courtney Riley

This retreat will be an unhurried time, a sanctuary of sanity and soul. We have mindfully crafted this time to serve you as you deepen in your body, breath, heart and soul through collaboration, curiosity, and contemplation.

We will listen together, reconnect with our own innate knowing, and simply live more gently and slowly for a while. There will be generous time for yoga, resting, meditation, writing, hiking, creativity, ritual and nothing in particular-spacious time to be, and sleep.

Most of all, we will be savoring each other’s presence, embodying heart, sharing words and silence, food and nature, hiking, joyful movement and deep rest.

We will spend 3 full days, bracketed by our opening Wednesday evening and closing Sunday morning, exploring embodiment through daily guided breath and movement class, yoga nidra, meditation, writing, ritual and being on the land. COURNTEY RILEY

Hello, I’m Courtney Riley! I’m a yoga instructor, massage therapist, energy healer, Ironman athlete, certified health coach, wife, daughter, and mama. Since I can remember, I’ve been passionate about health, wellness and helping others along their journey towards a balanced life. I’ve been an athlete since I could walk. I played multiple sports throughout my childhood, started competing in triathlons during high school, and added adventure racing to my life in college.

In 2001, an injury from a season of intense competitions left me unable to walk without pain. That’s when I discovered yoga, which both healed my body and aided me with understanding that I am more than just a physical being. This experience soon inspired me to dedicate myself to the path of holistic wellness. I saw that if yoga could heal me physically, connect me with my soul and give me a deeper sense of my truth, then it could certainly do that for others! As my love and knowledge of yoga and holistic healing grew, I developed a deep connection to Thai yoga therapy and table massage. I learned to see places in my students' bodies where they had “energetic leaks,” and found it profoundly helpful and rewarding to aid my students' healing through hands-on bodywork.

At the same time that my understanding of the body was growing, I found that my digestive and endocrine systems were declining in health. I became acutely aware through my own food allergies, candida, PMS, and fatigue that what we eat can be either medicine or poison. I noticed that my students who cleansed regularly and ate a clean diet held their bodywork and yoga-session results longer. That’s when I decided to become a certified health coach and dedicated myself to learning how food and detoxification play into someone becoming their most vibrant self!

Over the past five years, I have been diving deeper into my energy healing tools, meditation, and Yoga Nidra. I truly treasure working with people. In my work, my aim is to hold a sacred space in which a person can feel safe and free to look inward, activate their inner awareness, develop their “inner knowing,” and travel their own path to greater health and vitality.

WITH BLESSINGS, GRATITUDE, AND HUGS,

COURTNEY

Megan Dunne-Krouse

My name is Megan and I am here to teach you how to breathe better! Breathing better leads to moving your body better- however you enjoy moving! Breathing better leads to sleeping better…nourishing yourself better… digesting/assimilating better…processing and moving through difficult emotions better…communicating better… and to overall living better!

Breath is the nexus that connects body, mind, and energy(prana), yet many of us don’t breathe well. It’s easy to understand how a dysfunctional pattern can set in when we take 21,000 breaths/day unconsciously and each breath responds to every thought, emotion and experience we have. First we will re-learn how to breathe. Like we did when we were 2 years old. Deep, wide, and low in our body. Horizontally and three dimensionally. Without using our neck and shoulders. Through our nose. Then as we SOFTEN, MOVE, BE STILL, and NOURISH, we can do anything and go anywhere!

Wini Nimrod

For the past 26 years, I have been working as an integrated holistic health practitioner weaving together my interest in the body, psychology, and spirituality. I am a graduate of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy, Loyola University Institute of Pastoral Counseling, and the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. My passion is to explore the ongoing conversation between these three modalities, body, mind and Spirit, in order to help my clients access their own innate blueprint for self-healing and wholeness. I have trained and draw upon a variety of bodywork modalities in my massage practice and utilizes a client-centered therapy approach inspired by the work of Winnicott, Jung, Buddhism, and Christianity in my counseling practice.

I am currently in my 16th year of a mindful-meditation training program, Awakening Into Presence, an intensive study of the wisdom teachings of the East and the West. I am a certified meditation teacher through Susan Piver teacher training program.
